Crystal Cruises Update
The new owner of Crystal Cruise brand, Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group, has shared more information on what to expect from the rebooted cruise line. They will be starting with two ships that were previously owned by the old Crystal Cruise, the Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony. Both ships are about to undergo renovations where they will be increasing the number of butler suites, combining staterooms into larger offerings, and a a decreasing the passenger capacity. The decrease in number of passengers will provide a feeling of spaciousness to the public areas and restaurants. There is no word yet on what the new capacity numbers will be, previously the Crystal Serenity accommodated up to 900 travelers, and the Crystal Symphony accommodated about 848 travelers. The decrease in number of passengers will defiantly make trips with the new Crystal Cruises feel more luxurious. The updated brand and refreshed ships will make their debut in 2023.
Lufthansa Airlines Cancels All Flights
Lufthansa Airlines, the German national carrier and one of the largest airlines in Europe is canceling all flights scheduled for July 27th. The cancellation is caused by a planned one-day only walkout by workers to protest current contract negotiations with the carrier. Given how difficult the summer travel season has already been for Air Travel, especially in Europe, this one day cancellation will put additional strain on the region and create even more headaches for travelers.
Second Guest Sails Free
Scenic Group, the owner of both Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Cruises has launched a ‘Second Guest sails Free’ promotion. The promotion applies to all river cruises in Europe and Asia departing through June 2023. The promotion also applies to all of Emerald Cruises Arabian sailings for 2022 and 2023. Scenic is also applying the promotion on 2022 and 2023 Eclipse Americas sailings which are available for itineraries sailing both east and west coasts of the United States and Canada, as well as various Latin American itineraries. This sale only lasts till August 14th, with payment being required in full within 72 hours of booking.
