Hurtigruten Expeditions Deploys Starlink Across Entire Fleet
SpaceX’s StarLink internet has the potential to offer affordable, low latency internet anywhere on the planet. Because of this many travel companies have been exploring this more affordable option to provide highspeed wifi to their guests. Companies such as Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, and Royal Caribbean Group have all announced their intention to utilize the service. Hurtigruten Expeditions has not only joined the growing number of carriers utilizing the service, but has become the first Cruise line to utilize Starlink across their entire fleet. Hurtigruten is an Expedition Cruise company which means they operate vessels in some of the most remote and spectacular areas of the planet. Utilizing Starlink will give travelers on a Hurtigruten Expedition access to great internet service for their entire journey.
The Bahamas Announced Calypso Cove
The Bahamas has recently announced plans for Calypso Cove, a $250 million dollar development project. The new development will include a port that can handle up to two Oasis class ships and will be able to handle up to 13,000 Cruise passengers each day. Along with the cruise port, there will be a new 18 hole golf course, casino, water park, and of course a 200 room hotel. The development project is expected to start a the end of 2023.
Disney Theme Parks Raises Prices
It just became more expensive to visit Disney World and Disney Land. The ticket price for Disney Land has increased, the prices can now range from $104 to $179 depending on the day. Disney has also moved Disney Genie+ and Lightening Lane to a variable pricing model for both Disney World and Disney Land. The Model will adjust prices based on the day and demand. Current pricing can be found on the MyDisney app. There is a little good news, Magic key holders will be able to purchase Disney Genie+ or Lightning pass for a 20% discount.
