The Adept Traveler Wins 2022 Magellan Award
The Adept Traveler was recently recognized by Northstar Travel Media and Travel Weekly Magazine with a 2022 Magellan Award for our ongoing video series, which includes Today in Travel. Northstar and Travel Weekly received entries from top travel organizations and professionals worldwide. Being selected as a Magellan Award Winner is a tremendous achievement. Those selected represent a high standard of excellence within the travel industry. All of us here at The Adept Traveler are honored to be awarded with a Magellan Award.
Ice Rink to return to the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has announced that their iconic rooftop ice-skating rink will be returning this year for the 11th holiday season. Starting in November the 4,200 square foot rink overlooks the Las Vegas Strip. Opening November 15th the ice rink will be open daily through January 2nd, 2023. Along side the rink will be The Chalet which is an open air holiday village featuring fire pits where skaters can warm up while they toast marshmallows and sip on holiday cocktails.
Scenic Cruises The Eclipse II Maiden Voyage Announced
Scenic Cruises and Tours has released the maiden voyage for their new expedition ship, the Scenic Eclipse II. The Eclipse II will set sail on April 13th on an 11 day voyage from Lisbon to Barcelona. The 228 passenger ship is similar to the Scenic Eclipse, however the Eclipse II has a few notable changes to the spa which include a larger steam room area including aromatherapy, a salt therapy lounge with heated beds, and an ice fountain and experience showers. The Eclipse II is an ice-class ship and will spend the antarctic season hosting 15 day antarctic sailings.
