In Travel News for November 29th, 2022 we talk about the recent Volcano eruption in Hawaii, American Cruise Lines in 2023, and Disney Cruise Lines 25th Anniversary.
Volcano Erupts in Hawaii
Hawaii’s Mauna Loa, the worlds largest active Volcano has recently erupted for the first time since 1984. While that sounds scary lava flows from the recent eruptions are contained within the summit and not currently a threat to nearby communities. Air travel was briefly affected, flights were delayed and a few were canceled. At this time it doesn’t appear that this will affect travel and tourism and the Hawaii Tourism Authority has said there is currently no need to change travel plans. So while it looks as if there will be minimal impact to travel things could change quickly. If you are planning to travel to Hawaii soon it would be wise to consult with your Travel Advisor. And of course this is yet another example of why Travel Insurance is so important.
