As nationwide Protests against pension reforms in France continue, travelers can expect disruptions starting from Thursday. The demonstrations and coordinated strikes may affect those returning to the UK through France, following the Easter school holidays. Spontaneous protests have been occurring in central Paris and other parts of France since mid-March, with trade unions announcing more demonstrations and strike actions affecting multiple sectors, including transportation networks. Industrial action could last for several days, causing disruptions to road travel, air traffic control, and public transportation. Travelers are advised to monitor the media, check for the latest information with operators, avoid demonstrations, and follow local authorities' advice. Airlines like EasyJet and Ryanair have already reported disruptions, while Eurostar insists that Thursday's strikes won't impact their timetable. However, cross-Channel traffic may still experience delays, and travelers are advised to make confirmed bookings and be prepared with essentials like food and water.
