Discover the Mediterranean Aboard the Star Princess: A New Sphere of Luxury Cruising

In travel news for May 15th, 2023 we talk about Princes Cruises newest Sphere Class ship, the Star Princess

Princess Cruises has recently unveiled the Star Princess, the second Sphere Class cruise ship, set to make its maiden voyage in August 2025. Currently being constructed at the renowned Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, this luxurious vessel will embark on an inaugural season of captivating Mediterranean voyages. Cruise enthusiasts can start booking their dream getaway with the Star Princess as part of the larger Europe 2025 program, starting from June 1, 2023.

Weighing in at 175,500 tons and boasting a guest capacity of 4,300, the Star Princess is slated to join her sister ship, the Sun Princess, as the largest ships in the Princess Cruises fleet. This state-of-the-art vessel will feature groundbreaking spaces and amenities, designed to elevate the cruising experience for travelers. Among the innovative offerings on the Star Princess is The Dome, an entertainment venue that draws inspiration from the enchanting terraces of Santorini.

The ship will also showcase a next-level Piazza, complete with a mesmerizing glass sphere, as well as the technologically-advanced Princess Arena. This configurable main theater is designed to accommodate various performances and events. Furthermore, guests can enjoy a unique dining experience at a restaurant situated at the aft of the ship, offering breathtaking views.

The Star Princess will provide travelers with an extensive range of accommodation options, such as the new Reserve and Signature Collections. Additionally, passengers can expect to find a plethora of new food and beverage concepts, an expanded casino, a lavish two-story Lotus Spa, and thrilling entertainment headlined by the renowned Cirque Éloize.

Designed to provide a sense of familiarity and comfort, the Star Princess also incorporates advanced features and experiences for guests to explore. The ship's sleek design, spacious interiors, and awe-inspiring views of the sea and sky are reminiscent of the Sun Princess, which has already seen a surge in bookings for its inaugural year.

The Star Princess is the second ship in the Princess fleet to utilize eco-friendly LNG fuel technology, showcasing the Cruise line's commitment to sustainability. The ship is set to embark on a nine-day Inaugural Italy & Greece roundtrip cruise from Rome (Civitavecchia) on August 4, 2025. This remarkable journey will include stops in stunning destinations such as Corfu, Kotor, Mykonos, Santorini, and Naples (for Capri and Pompeii). Following this voyage, travelers can choose from a variety of nine- and 10-day cruises departing from Rome, Athens, or Trieste (Venice).

The Star Princess promises to deliver an unforgettable Mediterranean adventure for travelers seeking luxury, innovation, and unparalleled experiences.
