In travel news for June 26 , 2023 we talk about Holland America Lines new National Geographic shore excursions.
Holland America Line, in collaboration with National Geographic, has announced a new series of exclusive shore excursions for its Mediterranean cruises. Known as National Geographic Day Tours, these new offerings will provide passengers with a more immersive and sustainable way to explore local cultures.
Passengers on board the Oosterdam and Nieuw Statendam will have the opportunity to participate in National Geographic Day Tours. These tours offer unique experiences, such as discovering influential female figures in Kusadasi, Turkiye, spending a day as a marine biologist in Naples, Italy, learning about organic honeybee farms in Rhodes, Greece, and meeting local families in Santorini, Greece.
Holland America Line vice president Carole Biencourt said, “We are continually looking for enriching and transformative experiences for our guests and the new National Geographic Day Tours are not only immersive, but provide exclusive access and hands-on experiences.” She also noted that they plan to expand the program in the near future.
All Tours will be led by a National Geographic-trained guide, ensuring passengers receive a high-quality, in-depth experience. The tours can be booked online or through a Travel Advisor for select Mediterranean sailings.
Holland America Line prides itself on its near 6,500 unique shore excursions designed to create deep connections between guests and the places they visit. The new National Geographic Day Tours will undoubtedly enhance this repertoire.
Earlier this month, the Cruise line also unveiled its 2024-25 Asia itineraries, which include visits to 10 countries, 49 port calls, nine unique 14-day itineraries combining multiple countries, and two longer Legendary Voyages. Departure points for these sailings will be from Hong Kong, China; Yokohama (Tokyo, Japan); and Singapore.
