JetBlue Plans to Expand into Europe
During the 3rd quarter earnings call the CEO of JetBlue Airways announced that the airline will be expanding their European service in the near future. Currently the airline flys out of Boston and New Yorks JFK Airport to London Heathrow and London Gatwick. The CEO wouldn’t elaborate on which cities would be gaining service, saying only “We see an opportunity out of New York and Boston to fly to a number of European markets, and we are confidently progressing with those plans”.
United Kingdom Border Force to Vote on Strike
International travel to or from the United Kingdom this holiday season could be even more difficult then originally thought. UK Border force workers covered by the Union for Borders, Immigration, and Custom will be taking part in a ballot to decide if they will Strike during the Holiday Travel season. We don’t yet know what the outcome of the vote will be, if you do plan on traveling to the UK or have a connecting flight through there you’ll want to keep a close eye on this. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
