Alaskan Cruise Itineraries Adjusted for 2023: Royal Caribbean Reroutes to Icy Strait Point
Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines has adjusted its 2023 Alaskan itineraries due to docking challenges in Skagway, Alaska, caused by multiple rock slides damaging the pier. The Quantum of the Seas will instead visit Icy Strait Point, while Skagway undergoes necessary repairs. Passengers can expect a memorable experience at Icy Strait Point, with attractions including wildlife Tours, cultural experiences, and outdoor adventures. Additionally, the cruise line will extend their stay in Sitka, Alaska. Guests who pre-booked Skagway excursions will receive full refunds. Affected itineraries include sailings on May 15 and 22, June 12 and 19, July 10, 17 and 24, and September 11, 2023. Additional itinerary changes may be announced in the future. Disney Magic Brings the Enchantment of 'Encanto' and 'Soul' to Life on the High Seas
The Disney Magic Cruise ship now offers new family-friendly experiences inspired by Disney films "Encanto" and "Soul." Guests can enjoy "An Encanto Celebration," an interactive experience featuring music, crafts, and storytelling with the Madrigal family, as well as themed drinks and snacks. The Soul Cat Lounge, inspired by "Soul," transports guests to a classic New York jazz club with live music, an extensive drink menu, and Italian pastries called zeppoles. Disney Magic is currently sailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, before returning to Miami on May 24 for a summer of cruises to The Bahamas and the Caribbean, including the "Silver Anniversary at Sea" celebration.
