U.S. Airports Revive Non-Traveler Post-Security Access!

Several major U.S. airports are reviving the tradition of allowing non-travelers to accompany or greet passengers right at the gate. Airports such as Philadelphia International and Orlando International are introducing programs that permit non-flyers to access post-security areas. For instance, the PHL Wingmate Pass, starting on November 1, 2023, will grant non-ticketed guests post-security access. Orlando's Experience MCO Visitor Pass Program focuses on Terminal C access. Other airports, such as Seattle-Tacoma International and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International, have established programs with specific visitor limits. These programs combine heightened security measures with the sentimentality of traditional travel experiences, allowing for more touching moments between travelers and their loved ones.
