Splash Mountain

Disney's Splash Mountain is a beloved amusement park log flume ride located at Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Tokyo Disneyland, and Magic Kingdom. A thrilling journey through Brer Rabbit's world of song and laughter, Splash Mountain transports riders on a wacky, winding adventure full of daring drops, majestic animals, and grand cascading waterfalls.

The journey begins with a tranquil climb aboard one of the log flumes as riders travel along the lazy rivers of the American South. Gliding through scenes of folktale-inspired animals and a chorus of classic toe-tapping tunes, guests are treated to a show of vibrant colors and clever artistry. After lots of laughing and singing along with the audio-animatronics, the log flumes finally reach a cliff-like edge where things take a dramatic turn.

Riders double over in anticipation as they approach the summit of the mountain. At the highest peak of the ride, riders take in the breathtaking view of the brightly colored mountain and far-reaching landscape before the log plunges downhill. Through the darkness, screams of thrill-seekers fill the air as guests circle around tight turns, twist and turn through dark tunnels, and are showered with water at unexpected moments. Finally, coming full circle, guests arrive safely back at the loading dock, soaked but happily surprised.

Though the drop is the highlight of the ride, it's the creativity and entertainment which sets this attraction apart. Every splashy plunge is enhanced with creative scenes featuring animated characters from Disney's classic film, Song of the South – Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, and Brer Bear in particular. Brimming with rambunctious humor and witty hijinks, Brer Rabbit and company entertain riders all the way down the mountain. The fun continues past the final plunge, too, as guests disembark their logs and journey through a gift shop and photo gallery full of Treasures and trifles.

For those looking to take the plunge and embark on an exciting yet family friendly adventure, Splash Mountain should be at the top of your list. With plenty to explore and experience, it's a favorite among park-goers of all ages and a great way to cool off and beat the heat.
