Travel News: Canada, Costa Rica, and Ireland

When will Canada reopen it's boarders to the U.S., what change did Costa Rica make for travelers visiting their country, and when can forigners visit Ireland?

Canada News

On Monday Canada announced that it would reopen its border to permanent residents and vaccinated U.S. Citizen starting August 9, with plans to allow vaccinated travelers from other countries starting September 7.

However, the United States has decided to extend it’s border restrictions on land and ferry crossings for non-essential travel.  These restrictions were set to expire Thursday, July 22, but with rising covid rates in every state the Federal Government has decided to push back the reopening to August 21.

South America News

Looking to South America, Costa Rica will no longer require travelers to purchase a health insurance policy. This change takes effect August 1, 2021.

European Travel News

Good news for those wishing to visit Ireland.  The  Emerald Isle reopened on Monday to vaccinated travelers from the United States, The United Kingdom, and the European Union.
