There are new mask rules in Las Vegas, A famous Greek Island is fighting an uptick in COVID infections, and Canada answers the question of when they will allow Cruise ships to again dock in their ports.

Las Vegas

New mask rules went into effect Wednesday requiring employees to wear face coverings indoors when dealing with the public or are in close contact with co-workers.  This order is in effect till at least August 17, 2021.  While this updated rule doesn’t affect the public, all businesses are required to put up signs encouraging both vaccinated as well as unvaccinated visitors to wear masks.

Europe

Mykonos, the greek island best known for it’s party culture has entered a weeklong curfew for what officials are calling a “worrying outbreak”.  Music has been banned in restaurants, cafes, and clubs.  Additionally all patrons visiting indoor establishments must be seated, decreasing the density of once packed, standing room only establishments.  Greece opened to tourism in May, however recent increasing covid rates have forced the country to tighten it’s restrictions.

Canada

Its was recently announced that Canada will be allowing Cruise ships back into it’s waters starting in November.  Originally cruise ships were banned till February 2022.  This is good news for large cruise ships traveling from Washington to Alaska.  Federal Law requires any foreign flagged ship traveling these routes to make a stop in a Canadian port.
