Carnival Cruise Line
Carnival Cruise Line is implanting a new COVID policy. Starting August 7, 2021 all passengers, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear masks. This policy applies to passengers over the age of two in such areas as elevators, casinos, shops, and other indoor public spaces. The good news is that masks will not be required in outdoor spaces or when eating or drinking. Starting August 14, 2021 all guests of Carnival Cruise Line will be required to provide a negative antigen test which must me taken within three days of boarding.
Bahamas
The Bahamas recently changed it’s requirements for foreign visitors. The new policy will require everyone over the age if two to test negative to a covid test no more than 5 days prior to arrival. Cruise passengers are still required to apply for a Bahamas Travel Health Visa and follow all the rules for entry. These updated rules only apply to visitors that applied for a health visa after August 6, visitors that applied or obtained a visa earlier still fall under the previous policies.
Foreign Travel to the U.S.
The Biden Administration is looking to require all foreign visitors to provide proof of vaccination before being allowed to enter the US. Currently most foreigners are barred from entering the country, even though many other countries have started accepted foreign tourists such as Canada and the United Kingdom. Opening of the US borders to foreign tourists is looked upon as a much needed economic boost to US airlines and the hospitality industries.
