Travel News: COVID Policy Changes for Ireland & France, and the Most Kid Friendly City in Europe

In travel news for March 7, 2022 We will share the most Kid Friendly city in Europe and we have COVID restriction updates for Ireland and France.

Prague has been recently named the most child friendly city in Europe for 2022.  The study was conducted by the OVO Network and examined factors such as safety, cleanliness, transportation, as well as attractions. Being among the top cities in these categories as well as  the ratio of water and amusement parks as well as museums per 1 million residents and tourists helped Prague claim the top spot.  Helsinki and Copenhagen come in at the number two and number three respectively.

Ireland has dropped all COVID related travel restrictions.  Travelers entering Ireland will no longer have to provide proof of vaccination, a negative covid test, or fill out the passenger locator form.  Indoor mask requirements were dropped at the end of February, however they will still be required on public transportation and in health care settings.

And following Ireland, the Prime Minister of France announced today that the French vaccine pass will no longer be necessary in many venues across France starting March 14th.  And it’s not just the vaccine pass, the indoor Mask Mandate will removed at the same time for all settings except medical and public transportation.  Fully vaccinated travelers can still enter France without having to provide a negative COVID test, but at the moment unvaccinated travelers will still face difficulties in being allowed entry to France.  France considers full vaccination as having the final dose or booster within 9 months of travel but not sooner than 14 days prior to departure.
